Gibson SG
The Gibson SG is a solid body model of an electric guitar that came about in the 1960’s and it was created by Gibson and this guitar is still very popular up to this day. Before this guitar was introduced in 1958 the sales of the Gibson les Paul was a lot lower than they had ever been before. After a year some improvement were made to make a difference in this. The Les Paul was then given a thinner body with a flat top and it had a double cutaway which caused the upper fret to be more accessible. The costs of production fell because this was a smaller guitar in terms of the construction of the body. Up to this day this guitar is loved by many people and it is still being sold with a hefty price tag on it. This is probably because it makes such a great sound. This guitar was then replace by the Gibson SG and that is what we know of today. These are real great sounding guitars and if you have never listened to one playing before you need to do so sometime soon and stop missing out on the entertainment they provide.
